My marticulation exams of this fall are now finished, I had the last one (Finnish essay exam) today *__* My head feels so empty, in the pleasant way of course, that I feel could float. I have already got to know my directional scores of a couple of exams and I haven't been really disappointed. I excitedly wait for late November when the final scores will be told.

My today's exam had an assignment with a picture taken from a humorous children's book "Tatun ja Patun Suomi" (= Tatu and Patu's Finland). The picture had many, many stereotypes about a traditional Finn and Finnish life, and the assignment itself was to write an essay about identifying as a typical Finn. On the side of the picture, there was a flipchart with text:

Black things that Finns like:
[pic of a cup of coffee] Coffee (bad-tasting)
[dish of mämmi] Mämmi (bad-tasting)
[piece of salmiakki] Salmiakki (bad-tasting)
[a puck with a bitemark] Ice hockey (bad-tasting)

That made me so amused. 8D

(I didn't choose that assignment, though. There was altogether 14 assignments and one of them had to be chosen and write an essay about it. I picked the one with order to think over the relationship between dream and reality on ground of two dream-themed poems.)

Mmmm, now I have a sort of special vacation in the middle of term~ Really, I don't have any school before next week's Tuesday. ^^
